Tuesday Evening News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


13:40: Two Israelis were injured in a rock-throwing attack on the Southern Shechem Bypass Road. One was transported to hospital. The second victim refused transport.

13:45: An Israeli vehicle was bombarded with rocks northeast of PA-occupied Yericho. No injuries were reported.

** The Tel Aviv District Court rejected a request to compel the state to reveal the name of the state witness in the Holyland case.

** Omri Sharon, a son of the former prime minister, will be playing a major role in the Kadima party leadership campaign of Tzipi Livni.

** Egyptian officials report that a bus taking workers home was targeted by terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda in northern Sinai. It appears 25 Chinese nationals are now in their custody as a result of the attack. They are being held hostage towards gaining the release of terrorists imprisoned for an attack in Sharm el-Sheikh.
