Shells From Syria Continue Landing In Israel


At least one shell fired from Syria landed in northern Israel on Wednesday evening the eve of 5 Tammuz, marking at least the third incident in as many days. Israel has retaliated to the previous incidents, which IDF officials are attributing to spillover from the ongoing civil war in Syria and not a rocket attacks into Israel.

B’chasdei Hashem, there have not been any fatalities or injuries as a result of the rocket fire this week.

Following the Wednesday evening rocket fire, the IDF retaliated in the direction of the source of the rocket fire.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, “We are here celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Katzrin, the capital of the Golan Heights. I said that we will not tolerate spillover and that we will respond to every firing. During my speech shells from the Syrian side landed in our territory and the IDF has already struck back. Whoever attacks us – we will attack him. This is our policy and we will continue with it.”
