Belz Offering A Handsome Fee For Shidduchim

Belz is working hard to encourage shidduchim for the older singles (אלטער’ס), those over 20 who have still not found their zivug. Seeking to provide a measure of encouragement, in addition to shidduch fees paid by the parents, the Belz mosdos will add $1000 to the pot!

Askanim including HaRav HaChossid Eliezer Wiener and R’ Hershel Farkash are signed to the announcement to ‘Anash’, announcing the special 1,000-dollar addition which is being added to shidduchim for the bochrim over 20.

  1. Its truly bizarre and inappropriate to characterize those “over 20” as “older singles who have [c’v] not yet found their zivug” This mindless effort to create a sense of hysteria over a non-existant “shidduch crisis” for the plight of young men and women who are barely adults should be condemned. Give them time to pursue their education or careers and meet their beschert normally rather than making them feel like “damaged goods” for whom we must pay bounties and bribes to get others to consider marrying them.

  2. Nice that they are having a handsome fee but let’s talk about handsome looks you can’t marry a pretty girl if you’re ugly get your face plastic surgery to look like the “handsome prince” before you can marry your “fair princess” it’s not fair to expect women to wear makeup if you won’t look the part.

  3. gadolhatorah, this is Belz Chasidus where the injunction “18 to chupah “is taken seriously. This isn’t the entire frum world.

  4. Does anyone know what RebYidd23 is trying to tell us? Does RebYidd even know?

How about a fund to enable a couple married at age 20 to afford to live until they can earn a parnassah?
