While there was rainfall in many areas of Israel on Sunday and Monday, the Chief Rabbis of Israel are calling for a day of tefilos on Thursday, the fast day of 10 Teves, calling on Am Yisrael to be mispallel for rainfall.

The Badatz Eida Chareidis along with most batei din across the country have joined leading rabbonim calling on the tzibur to begin reciting ‘Va’aneinu’ in both the silent and repeated Shmona Esrei. Former Jerusalem Religious Council posek HaGaon HaRav Eliyahu Schlesinger Shlita announced on Monday that the rainfall that we received is not sufficient, and certainly, we should and must continue being mispallel. He stated too many people do not realize the severity of the situation.

There will be a central gathering on 10 Teves at the Kosel headed by the Chief Rabbis Shlita, beginning at 3:30pm.
