A video showing a 22-year-old Palestinian being shot in the back has resulted in an IDF probe into the shooting, the IDF Spokesmans Office announced on Sunday.
The video is reportedly from a security camera from a Tulkarem restaurant, which shows Mohamed Habali walking while holding a stick and then being shot from behind, falling to the ground face down. Other men nearby leave the scene.
Mohameds mentally disabled brother reportedly told officials that he saw soldiers in the area.
The IDF Spokesmans Office reports solider were in the area, and they came under attack by Palestinians who hurled rocks. While the soldiers responded to the attacks, the spokesmans office stressed at no time was life ammunition used to distance the rioters.
