PHOTOS: Two IDF Soldiers Moderately Injured When D9 Overturns In The Golan Heights

Two IDF soldier sustained moderate injuries during a Golan Heights training mishap early Monday morning, when a D9 flipped over into a ravine. The injured personnel were flown by chopper to the trauma unit of Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

The IDF Spokesman’s Office reported, “during the predawn hours, two soldiers were injured when a piece of engineering equipment flipped during a training event in northern Israel. The circumstances surrounding the mishap are being investigated.

About a half year ago, Sgt. Eliyahu Drori Z”L, was killed as a result of a tank flipping during real operations near the Egyptian border. Drori was a resident of Beit Shemesh, as well as a talmid of Yeshivat Hesder Shalavim.
