Disharmony Among Blue & White Party Leaders

With three days until the Knesset is dissolved and new elections declared, there are some in the Blue & White party who still believe it is still possible to establish a national unity coalition government. However, disharmony has resulted among the party’s leaders.

According to a TV KAN11 News report, MK Gabi Ashkenazi, who holds the fourth slot on the list and among the party leaders, continues pressuring the others to accept the offer put on the table by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu towards establishing a unity government and avoiding another round of elections.

In response to the report, the leaders of Blue & White insist this is not the case and “the leaders remain unified towards preventing PM Netanyahu from dragging us to another round of elections.”

According to News13 political analyst Akiva Novak, there is widespread disappointment with the foursome leading the party, as each interferes with the plans of another. He quotes persons close to Gantz explaining one cannot run a party with four leaders, for attempting to do so just results in damage to the party.
