Progress Reported in Search for 4.5-year-old Rose

mishtara14.jpgFrom the information being released by police, Rose, 4.5, from Netanya, was murdered and her body placed in a suitcase and dumped into the Yarkon River. Suspects in the case are the grandfather and biological mother. The gag order that was placed on the case earlier has been lifted by police.

Ronny Ron, 45, the grandfather, remains the primary suspect, but Rose’s mom, Marie Pisam, has a role in the murder, or at the very least was aware of the murder and did not report it to anyone.

Police are indicating there is some romantic involvement between Rose and Ronny, and add that at present, the body of the little girl has not been recovered. Divers and other means including sonar are being used to see if the suitcase can be located in the Yarkon. Police also report that Ronny admitted to the murder, and even reenacted his crime.

After the details of the case were reported in the French Le Parisien newspaper on Tuesday, the gag order was lifted in Israel as well. Needless to say the case is dominating news headlines as the nation expresses outrage and disbelief as the horrific details of the story are revealed.

Rose disappeared in May but police only learned of the disappearance less than two weeks ago.

Original story posted HERE on Monday.

  1. #1. your question is what i dont understand.
unfortunately, we are in an era post living post-
holocaust where human life has been diminished.
i for one dont know the make of these people, frum not frum.however, life has been cheapened and under tormentuos conditions, affecting the mind and body, anything can be purpertrated.

  2. The details of this horrible story seem sensational and inappropriate for “Yeshiva World” reading. Most disappointing.

  3. I’m with 3.
And how could you use the word “romantic”? I understand the need for euphemisms but surely your writers can do better, instead of horribly corrupting a word that can and should be part of something meaningful and sublime.

  4. More to the point – haven’t had a coffee yet – romance connotes a two way, mutual relationship, not one-sided abuse.

  5. Rose is not Jewish. Her French mother according to other israeli news sources is not Jewish. Rose’s mother and father divocred and Rose’s mother is married to her former father in law.
    very sad story

  6. So maybe the mistake was not in using the word romance, but the wrong name. Still tragic, regardless of whether the child was Jewish.
