Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra.

An IDF tracker from the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade was killed and five soldiers were wounded, three seriously, in an exchange of fire in the Gaza Strip on Shabbos.

Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, from the Bedouin-Israeli city of Rahat, was killed in a Hamas attack in northern Gaza, the first combat fatality in the Strip since the collapse of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. In addition, five soldiers, including three female soldiers, were injured.

Army Radio reported that an initial investigation revealed that IDF soldiers were working on clearing an area in northern Gaza as part of an operation to expand Israel’s buffer zone near the border. Several female IDF soldiers were driving on an IDF logistics road when they came under attack by Hamas terrorists, who emerged from a tunnel and fired an RPG at their vehicle, wounding three soldiers, two seriously.

The public is asked to daven for Nurit bas Esther, one of the seriously injured soldiers.

Shortly after the RPG fire, rescue forces from the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade arrived, including trackers. At 1:25 PM, a half hour after the RPG incident, the terrorists detonated a powerful explosive device near the rescue forces, killing Alnasasra and wounding two other trackers, one seriously.

Air Force helicopters were deployed to the scene and evacuated the wounded to several hospitals.

This is a new low. One thing not to keep a 25 hour Shabbos with publishing articles long after Friday shkia Israeli time and then further articles first thing Motze Shabbos also Israeli time but now keeping 7 days when you give every impression of being a USA (can be more specific, but let’s keep the pretence of anonymous ownership) company??

YWN obviously has a branch in Israel. Many times I get israeli news even before it hits the Israeli news outlets because they have reporters living in Israel. Friends ask me how I found out certain Israeli news but they don’t chap I get it from YWN who have news reporters in Israel itself.
