The military police launched an arrest operation on Tuesday evening against Chareidim who have not reported for conscription orders sent to them in recent months.
The arrest of bnei yeshivos for refusing to serve in the army is unprecedented, something that hasn’t happened since the establishment of the state.
“In the first stage, we are talking about dozens, an action that is mainly supposed to create deterrence,” Ynet reported.
The IDF stated on Tuesday: “Anyone eligible for the draft who did not report for conscription in accordance with the instructions of the order he received is expected to face disciplinary or criminal sanctions.”
The IDF later claimed that the arrests are part of a routine operation that takes place every year. “The military police are working to locate and capture deserters from all populations. This is not a targeted action against Chareidim,” the army stated.
However, the Charedi parties expressed great anger at the very existence of the operation, especially at the present time, when the draft law is still being formulated.
Senior officials in the Chareidi parties conveyed a warning to the Prime Minister’s Office: “If bnei yeshivos are arrested, we will consider immediate resignation from the government.”
Shas chairman Aryeh Deri declared last month that he would leave the government if even one ben yeshivah is arrested.
The Chareidi parties are now working with the Ministry of Defense and the IDF to examine the implications of the operation, and are applying significant pressure for the operation to be halted.
B’Chadrei Chareidim reported that the Eidah HaChareidit scheduled an emergency discussion later on Tuesday.
A source in the Eidah told B’Chadrei: “They think they will come to us by surprise, but we will turn the tables – we will tell them: take them now.” According to the source, such a move is being seriously considered.
Last week, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir instructed the IDF’s Personnel Directorate to present him with an immediate plan to expand the issuance of draft orders to Charedim. At the same time, the IDF was instructed to act to increase the absorption and training capabilities of Chareidi soldiers.

WARNING: ICC may respond in kind!
IY’H they leave and the government falls. The next government will be led by N. Bennet and Gantz and Lieberman, without hareidim or the likes of Ben Gvir. The State of Israel will thrive, B’H.
No they didn’t. This is totally made up. For the real news, check Israeli websites.
What does: “we will tell them: take them now” mean ??
Take to the streets, it should not only be the left that gets to explode when they feel the need. This is a defense for Hashem and his mighty land. Mess with one mess with all
Also nice to see a fake Jew here smiling and advocating for the biggest traitors to the Jewish people possibly leading the next government, I hope you go down with them.
I love how the chareidi parties always THREATEN to leave but dont as BIBI knows they need the cash from him and are beholden to him, they talk alot. The Zionists war on the Torah has continued unabeted since 1948.

Never mind the ICC. Hashem Himself doesn’t want this massive idol. That idol has been on “borrowed time” for over a century.
As the Chazon Ish noted, one morning we will wake up to find that the Zionist “State” simply no longer exists. The Zionists are really trying hard to make that happen.
