The IDF says it has been informed by the Red Cross that it has retrieved a casket — apparently containing the body of a slain hostage — from Hamas in central Gaza a short time ago.
The Red Cross is now transporting the casket to IDF forces inside the Gaza Strip, where a brief ceremony will be held, led by a military rabbi, before the remains are transferred for formal identification.
The remains of two other slain hostages are still being held in Gaza:
