IAF Pilot and Flight Instructor Killed in Plane Crash


iaf.jpgAn aircraft on a routine training flight crashed, killing two on board, near Revivim in southern Israel on Wednesday. The accident happened earlier in the day but it was a number of hours until the incident was cleared for publication by the IDF censor, pending notification of family and a preliminary investigation of the incident.

The aircraft was a Fouga CM.170 Magister (IAF Zukit), a two-engine light plane. It is used by the air force as one of the training craft for future fighter pilots. The names of the victims have not been released at this time.
