ZAKA’s International Unit is dispatching a special delegation to Australia in the wake of the severe and deadly shooting attack that rocked the Jewish community.

Teams from ZAKA’s International Unit are already en route to Australia. The delegation is being reinforced by additional volunteers from Israel and is operating under the command of Yossi Landau, ZAKA Lachish District Operations Officer, who is serving as head of the delegation.

The delegation is expected to depart on a special flight in the coming hours and will join ZAKA teams and local volunteers from across Australia who are already operating at the scene of the attack.

Yossi Landau, Commander of the ZAKA Delegation to Australia, tells YWN:

“We are now leaving Israel to join ZAKA teams and local volunteers who are already operating at the scene in Australia. This is a difficult and complex incident, and the delegation is preparing to work together with local forces professionally, sensitively, and in full coordination.”

As part of the mission, a large quantity of logistical and specialized equipment has already been dispatched from ZAKA’s logistics center. The shipment is intended to support operations in complex disaster scenes and reflects the organization’s full preparedness for field activity.

  1. How do then obtain visas to enter Australia on such short notice. Australia is not making any exceptions for anyone who doesn’t have visa, not even under such dire circumstances:- Especially in such a toxic anti semitic environment.
