The terrorist who murdered Yehuda Shmuel Sherman, H’yd, and injured his brother in a ramming attack in the Shomron on Shabbos turned himself in to security forces overnight and is now under interrogation.
The head of the IDF’s Central Command, Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, held a situational assessment on Sunday morning at the scene of the attack near Homesh.
He was accompanied by the commander of the Shomron Brigade, division officers, and Shin Bet and police representatives.
A preliminary investigation showed that the terrorist accelerated his car and rammed into the brothers, killing Yehuda, H’yd, and moderately injuring his brother. A third Israeli who was with them was not injured.
Yehuda, H’yd, a resident of Elon Moreh, is survived by his parents, Yehoshua and Sima, and six siblings. His brother, who was with him, was moderately injured.
