New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is pouring gasoline on an already dangerous fire.
In an official “Nakba Day” video released by the mayor’s office shortly before Shabbos, Mamdani promotes a completely one-sided and historically distorted narrative that portrays Israel’s founding as a “catastrophe” while erasing the facts that led to the 1948 war.
The video claims that “the Haganah, Irgun and Lehi militias destroyed more than 400 Palestinian villages and cities, killing thousands of Palestinians and carrying out dozens of massacres,” while describing the creation of Israel as the “expulsion and displacement” of more than 700,000 Palestinians.
The video even features a so-called “Nakba survivor” claiming she fled because “the Zionists were coming into Jerusalem.”
What Mamdani conveniently leaves out is that the Arab world rejected the UN partition plan — which would have created both a Jewish state and an Arab state — and instead launched a war to annihilate the newborn Jewish state.
He ignores the massacres committed against Jews by Arab forces, the siege and ethnic cleansing of Jews from eastern Jerusalem, and the roughly 850,000 Jews expelled or forced to flee Arab countries in the years that followed.
Mamdani also fails to acknowledge that the modern “Nakba” movement is not simply about mourning or grief — it is deeply tied to rejecting Israel’s existence as a Jewish state through the so-called “Right of Return.”
And he is promoting this narrative in New York City while Jews are already facing skyrocketing antisemitic harassment, intimidation, assaults, and threats.
This is the same mayor who refuses to march in the Israel Day Parade while anti-Israel extremists flood Manhattan streets chanting violent slogans, harassing Jews, vandalizing property, and openly calling to “globalize the intifada.”
Leadership means condemning hatred and violence clearly and consistently — not fueling it with propaganda from City Hall.
At a time when Jewish New Yorkers increasingly feel unsafe in their own city, Mamdani’s actions are reckless, inflammatory, and profoundly irresponsible.

If you think he’s going to start caring about us at any point you got the wrong guy
Back in June’2025, as an NYS Assemblyman, “Zohran Mamdani sponsored a bill that would force any New York synagogue or Jewish corporation that gives money to ZAKA, United Hatzalah, or the One Israel Fund to pay a fine of at least $1 million or risk a lawsuit……The bill aims to amend the not-for-profit corporation law by adding a new section 116 that would “prohibit not-for-profit corporations from engaging in unauthorized support of Israeli settlement activity…Contravention of this would lead to a fine of no less than $1 million or civil action.”

We can only blame ourselves for it, we should’ve voted for the lesser of the 2 evils !
Just my opinion
Where is my comment? And I was in the midst of writing a 2nd comment and it was quite long and it was erased.
It’s the young secular lefty Jews who elected him. Thirty per cent of the vote were these useful idiots. They are the ones leading these rallies as well as even willing to get arrested for our enemies. No Torah no brains.
Time for President Donald Trump שליט”א to task ICE to deport this wicked mandani scoundrel ימח שמו וזכרונו
