The Sanzer Rebbe delivered a sharply worded speech against Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and the judicial system at a kenes on behalf of Keren Olam HaTorah in Bnei Brak on Sunday night, speaking in Hebrew rather than Yiddish.

The Rebbe began by reciting from the Parsha, focusing on the passuk: ‘וְכִי תָ?’ֹאוּ מִלְ?–ָמָ?” ?’ְּאַרְצְכֶם עַל ?”ַצַּר ?”ַצֹּרֵר אֶתְכֶם וַ?”ֲרֵעֹתֶם ?’ַּ?–ֲצֹצְרֹת, וְ? ִ?-ְכַּרְתֶּם לִפְ? ֵי ?”‘ אֱלֹקיכֶם, וְ? וֹשַׁעְתֶּם מֵאֹיְ?’ֵיכֶם.'”

The Rebbe explained that the words “וְכִי תָ?’ֹאוּ מִלְ?–ָמָ?” ?’ְּאַרְצְכֶם” obviously means an enemy from outside. But the Torah hints in the words “עַל ?”ַצַּר ?”ַצֹּרֵר אֶתְכֶם” that a time will come when the war will be “in your land”-inside, within the Land.

“This will be the biggest war, ‘מִלְ?–ָמָ?” לַ?”‘ ?’ַּעֲמָלֵק’ – a war against the Eirav Rav, against those who want to uproot Torah from Yisrael, that it will chalilah become like all the other nations,” the Rebbe said.

The Rebbe recalled hearing from his father, z’tl,? in the name of earlier tzaddikim that the main suffering in the era before Moshiach and during the War of Gog and Magog will be spiritual in nature.

“‘וַ?”ֲרֵעֹתֶם ?’ַּ?–ֲצֹצְרֹת’- we must gather together to cry out and daven against this battle against Lomdei Torah because it poses a tangible danger to the entire nation in Tzion,” the Rebbe said. “We know the truth, that only Torah protects and saves. Only Torah will save Am Ysrael from those who rise against us to destroy us, chalilah.”

“The Sitra Achra is aware that the Torah is the strength of Yisrael, so they gather to fight against it, with brazenness and wickedness. But the Chasam Sofer already said: as long as the destroyers have not ceased, the defenders will not cease. Blessed is Hakadosh Baruch Hu for giving us Gedolei HaDor who are moser nefesh, traveling and exerting themselves so that Torah will not cease.”

“Those who uproot religion are not from the zera of Beis Yisrael. This deep hatred did not come from the children of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov. We must fight them by ‘וַ?”ֲרֵעֹתֶם ?’ַּ?–ֲצֹצְרֹת’ – Jews give large sums of money, truly a wonder of wonders. In this, they unite. This is the idea of the half-shekel of unity, showing that Jews are responsible for one another. In the zechus of tzedaka that Jews give, the midas harachamim from Shamayim is awakened.

“May Hakadosh Baruch Hu say ‘enough’ to His world and ‘enough’ to our troubles. We believe that all difficulties-‘No weapon formed against you shall succeed, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of? Hashem, and their righteousness is from Me,” says Hashem.'”

“‘This’ is the Torah, as explained in the Zohar; there is no ‘this’ but Torah.”

“‘Where the place of judgment is, there is wickedness,’ and every word is superfluous. But the promise is that ‘No weapon formed against you shall succeed’-we are certain that the holy Torah will triumph. The Lomdei Torah will remain in the halls of Torah and yeshivos in kedushah and tahara. No one will be able to harm them, chalilah. There will definitely be trials and difficulties, but we will overcome all of this. The end will certainly be ‘And you shall be remembered before Hashem, your G-d, and you shall be saved from your enemies.”
