Foreign Ministry Willing to Assist to Bring Body to Yemenite Jew to Eretz Yisrael

The family of Kadosh R’ Moshe Al-Nahari HY”D, who was murdered in an anti-Semitic attack, will be meeting with Yemenite officials on Monday in the hope of obtaining permission to have the body sent to Eretz Yisrael for Kvura.

While the official motive for the murder is not being reported, it appears to surround the growing conflict between the Muslim and small Jewish community, as was reported by YWN.

Foreign Ministry officials in Jerusalem have indicated they are ready and willing to do whatever possible to assist in transferring the niftar to Eretz Yisrael for burial.

While Yemen was home to 50,000 Jews in the 1950s, most emigrated to Eretz Yisrael and today, the community is estimated to be 400 people, with most living in Raydah.
