Iran Closing in on Atom Bomb

i.jpgAccording to a senior intelligence community official, who on Monday briefed the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee, by the end of the summer, Iran will have amassed enough material to assemble an atom bomb. The expert added that there are still stages before Tehran can actually build a bomb but this new reality is worrisome.

Chief of IDF Intelligence Investigative Branch Brigadier-General Yossi Beiditz explained that Iran possesses long-range missiles capable of striking deep inside Israel, warning these realities should stop the international community’s dialogue clock.

Presenting a somewhat worrisome picture, the senior intelligence officer explained some of the threats facing Israel, citing Hamas continues weapons smuggling and the terror organization is preparing for the next armed conflict. Hizbullah has taken up position north and south of the Litani River, possessing missiles capable of striking deep inside areas of Israel.

Regarding the PA (Palestinian Authority), Beiditz explains that Abu Mazen is benefiting from “international dynamics”, preferring to take a back seat as the international community turns up the pressure on Israel.

  1. I never understood why we are trying to prevent them from creating an atomic bomb. We should just focus on detonating it when it is made. That way, goodbye nuclear program for good – possibly even goodbye Iran.
