Rabies Concerns in the Beit Shemesh Area

Children brought three donkeys to a farm near S’dot Micha in the Beit Shemesh area. Health officials have learned one has rabies, the one that bit a child.

The child is being treated in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, along with seven other people who came in contact with him, a prophylactic move that officials hope will prevent an outbreak.

Officials at Hadassah explain one of the problems is that the animal that infected the donkey remains at large, cause for concern.
