Meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger, President Shimon Peres warned of the international community permitting Iran to reach nuclear capabilities. He explained that such a reality would result in a nuclear Middle East where disputes would then be settled with nuclear bombs.

The president referred to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a “dictator and a murderer who hangs people in the streets, shoots at unarmed civilians, calls for the destruction of a nation and travels the world as if he was a legitimate leader.
