Yechiel FInegold was a 20 year old yeshiva student from Baltimore Maryland, who was studying at Rabbi Goldblatt�s yeshiva in Lakewood. As reported on this site, he was killed on Sunday morning, the 17th of Kislev, 5779, November 25th, 2018, by a hit and run driver in Lakewood.

His Chavrusa, Shmuli Green, remembers him as a �a really special nishama with whom I had the privilege to learn with B’Chavrusa for a little over a year.� He, together with the rest of the Yeshiva, have started a Chesed Fund to raise money for a Sefer Torah in Yechiel�s memory.

As the yeshiva wrote in their campaign: �Yechiel’s passing leaves us with a indescribable void and inspires us with a desire to try to continue to emulate his passion for Kavod Habrios and Kavod HaTorah. We are all feeling a tremendous loss at his passing. As an everlasting memory for Yechiel, we were hoping to complete a Sefer Torah L’ilui Nishmaso.�
