A special election will be held on May 20 to replace State Senator Simcha Felder, who resigned after winning a City Council seat. Sam Sutton, co-leader of the Sephardic Community Federation, will run as the Democratic nominee, while longtime Republican district leader Carl (Nachman) Caller will represent the GOP. The race will determine South Brooklyn�s next State Senator.
