Poll: 47% of Americans Doubt Finding a Good Job, 68% Say Economy Is Poor

A new AP–NORC poll finds Americans are increasingly anxious about jobs and rising costs, with 47% saying they’re not confident they could find a good job — up from 37% last year. Only 36% approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, as inflation, high grocery prices, and mounting electricity and housing costs continue to strain households. Sixty-eight percent of adults describe the economy as “poor,” while just 12% say they’re getting ahead financially.
