NTSB to Vote on Cause of Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse

The NTSB is set to vote today on the official cause of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, which killed six workers after the cargo ship Dali lost power and slammed into a support column in March 2024. The vote comes as Maryland more than doubled the projected rebuild cost to up to $5.2 billion and pushed the completion date to 2030. Investigators previously found a loose electrical cable on the ship that may have triggered the blackout that led to the disaster.
