SWALWELL ANNOUNCES GOV RUN: Rep. Eric Swalwell has officially announced he is running for governor of California, saying he will be a “protector and fighter.” He made the announcement on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and said he wants to build a safer, more affordable state.

Swalwell vowed to fight for lower prices, support businesses, modernize infrastructure, and protect residents’ freedoms. He also said the next governor must keep Donald Trump out of “our homes, streets and lives.”
