New York City Mayor Mamdani acknowledged that some residents are leaving the city as he continues to push for higher taxes on wealthy individuals and businesses.

“I don’t have a hesitation in asking those who make the most amount of money in this city or the most profits in this city to pay a little bit more so that everyone can actually stay in this city,” Mamdani said.
