The Trump administration will begin issuing tariff refunds to businesses after a Supreme Court ruling invalidated emergency import duties. More than 330,000 importers paid tariffs on over 53 million shipments totaling roughly $166 billion.
Starting Monday, companies can file claims through a new CBP system, with refunds paid directly to the businesses that originally paid the tariffs. Payments are expected to begin within roughly 60 to 90 days after claims are processed.
