Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and his wife, Dafna Bar-Agasi, attended a high-level security conference in the United Arab Emirates about two months ago, hosted by UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed (ABZ), alongside senior intelligence, security, and government officials from around the world.

According to a Channel 13 report, an unusual security alert was received during Bar’s visit, raising concerns for his safety. A decision was reportedly made to immediately evacuate the couple from the UAE and fly them back to Israel.

Details of the incident and the evacuation were kept under a heavy veil of secrecy and were only cleared for publication now.
