What Is The Grid?

She was a young mother from England who needed a double lung transplant. She and her family flew halfway across the world to await treatment at the Cleveland Clinic of Cleveland.

Someone was waiting there with open arms.

For two and a half years, Bikur Cholim of Cleveland provided for every need of this young family. While their little girl attended a local Cleveland Bais Yaakov, Bikur Cholim housed the family in a comfortable home and the Jewish community adopted them as their own. While the child played outside with her friends like any other kid on the block, Bikur Cholim of Cleveland covered the family like an umbrella, making sure her parents had everything they needed to raise their child while fighting a critical illness.

Bikur Cholim housed them, paid their electric and utility bills, and supplied meals every day of the week. Bikur Cholim also served as navigators for the American medical system. They provided interpretation services, companionship for the patient when needed, and transportation to and from the hospital. Bikur Cholim supervised every detail of care, medical or otherwise. Their all-encompassing embrace was more than a help; it was a lifeline.

This story is not unique. Tens of Jewish families from across the globe choose The Cleveland Clinic because Bikur Cholim provides such an unparalleled network of support.

Our organization is powered by passionate volunteers who give selflessly to support patients and families from around the world who seek medical treatment in Cleveland.

We need your help! By giving generously, you will ensure that Bikur Cholim of Cleveland keeps its arms wide open, embracing patients and giving new hope, comfort, and life every single day.
