  1. Such an unbelievable amount of Tzoros. It’s almost too much to bear.
Sorry, YW, but before your site came about I probably wouldn’t have ever known about most of the never-ending litany of tragedies you’ve posted over the last week. (And, Chas V’Shalom, I’m not blaming you in the slightest.)
But I’m not sure what Da’as Torah would be if asked directly if it’s the right thing to check YW once or twice a day and find out mostly about terrible tragedies.
Perhaps you should post the Tzoros the same way you post the Simchas, quietly and off to the side. That way we can choose to look it up or not, rather than having the big bold horrific headlines smack us every time we log on.
We are supposed to be B’Simcha, and I can sense that everyone here is just getting more and more upset, more and more desperate. Perhaps “ignorance is bliss” is the right way to go. I really don’t know the answer.

  2. Eliezer, you realy don’t know the answer. Noone does – only HKB”H. But, we have to do Teshuva, etc. So, if even 1 person makes a kabbala to do teshuva from reading the tzoros on YW -it was worthwhile his whole website!

  3. I never said that the site wasn’t worth it, and I am the first to admit that I surely don’t have the answer.
I guess it is our Chesaron, (and perhaps the natural instinctive response), that we mostly react by Davening, saying Tehillim,k and doing Teshuva, when we hear of a tragedy or Tzorah. We don’t jump for the Tehillim and do Teshuva when we hear about a wedding.
Perhaps if we reacted to good news and Simchos the same way, by Davening and saying Tehillim – to thank Hashem for his goodness and kindness – then maybe YW would be bold-face-posting all the Simchas instead of the Tzoros.
Until then, however, why not give everyone the choice of what to look at when logging on?
