NYCHSRO/MedReview CEO Joesph B. Stamm Tribute Celebration


Hundreds of well wishers joined a celebratory reception in honor of the 25th anniversary of Joseph B. Stamm as CEO & President of NYCHSRO/MedReview. The event recognized his twenty-five years of outstanding achievement at the helm of one of the country’s leading healthcare review organizations and his almost forty years of service to the healthcare community.

Since 1974, MedReview and its parent company, the New York County Health Services Review Organization (NYCHSRO) have been leaders in the performance of healthcare peer review services. MedReview’s services, many of which were developed or expanded under Joe Stamm’s guidance, include: Ambulatory Pre-Certification Review, Case Management, Coding Validation, Cost Outlier Review, External Appeal, Focused/QA Review, Hospital Bill Audit, Independent Examination (IME), Inpatient Pre-cert/Concurrent Reviews, Non-Institutional Claims Evaluation (NICE), QARR/HEDIS-Encounter Data Validation, and Readmission Review, as well as other services that monitor the quality, appropriateness, and cost effectiveness of healthcare delivery programs.

Over the past three decades, MedReview has distinguished itself in its ability to help its diverse group of clients maintain quality cost-effective healthcare service. Its client base consists of labor groups, governmental agencies (New York State Department of Health, New York State AIDS Institute, New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA), etc.), and managed care organizations (AmeriChoice/United Health, CarePlus, etc.). MedReview’s continued goal is to make quality healthcare more affordable while ensuring customer satisfaction which has become its trademark over the past quarter century.

The reception featured a multitude of elected officials representing the Federal, State & Local branches of government, each of whom has worked with Mr. Stamm, throughout his quarter century of exemplary stewardship of this unique company.
