PHOTO: NYC Mayoral Candidate Erick Salgado Receives Bracha & Endorsement From Skulener Rebbe

sksMayoral candidate Erick Salgado, the only candidate in the Democratic Primary for Mayor who believes in traditional family values, has received a Bracha and the endorsement of the Skulener Rebbe Shlita, a press release from the candidate says.

The endorsement and blessings from the Rebbe, came during a meeting, Wednesday evening in the Skuluner Bais Medrash.

“Rabbi Portugal’s endorsement is especially meaningful to me because it is an acknowledgement of my being a proponent of traditional family values. These values are very dear to me as a father, husband and candidate for Mayor,” Salgado stated.

“I truly felt that I was in the presence of holiness as we spoke; we had a most interesting conversation. It was humbling to be blessed by Rabbi Portugal,” Salgado said.

“I want to thank the Rabbi for his personal support and reiterate my pledge to bring traditional family values back to City Hall,” Salgado concluded.

The Primary election will be held on Tuesday, September 10th.

  1. Lets be honest for a minute here.
Salgado is a long shot candidate and the polls are showing that he hardly stands a chance.
Also the toaveh law was passed in Albany not in City Hall so how can he change the law if he gets elected?
Is he another guy running to rebbes lying about what he can accomplish? Didn’t we just have such a candidate last year that was promising the world if he gets elected?

  2. Baruch Hashem we finally have a moral, decent, righteous Gentile we can proudly vote for! After years of perverts & Mushchasim we finally have some renewed energy of hope for restoring confidence that we’ll have a Mayor that DOES represent OUR Torah values! We have to stop the slide down the path of Moral destruction! Let’s all go out and make a Kiddush Hashem by voting for Erick Salgado as our next Mayor! Everyone will be watching, who will the “Light of the Nations” be voting for. Let us not disappoint!

  3. #4 I rather have a Zionist than a Nazi or radical Muslim. I’d rather give up all of my learning to be forced into the army than be lead into the gas chambers….

  4. Kudos to Joe Yeshivish
One does not necessarily be YESHIVISH to understand when you have a religious goy, a family man,who is proud of those values,he is is the choice on Sep. 10 ,not MUSHCHASHIM and TOEIVANIKS.Forget about if he has a chance or not according to the political pundits. If frum yidden do what they should do and not be bought off by money, he’ll have as good a chance as any of the other candidates.
