Mishpacha Scraps Story at Behest of Gadol Hador

(Sunday, September 30th, 2012)

A Hebrew Mishpacha Magazine team was granted permission to begin a comprehensive piece covering the span of the life of HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita as the gadol hador enters his 100th year.

Hours were devoted to interviews and editing as they sought to report to readers on the life of a man who became the Torah giant that he is.

It appears that as they were finalizing the report, gabbaim of the gadol hador phoned to explain that Rav Wosner stated the article “גורמת לו צער”, that the planned story is a source of discomfort for him, and at the rav’s behest, Mishpacha immediately removed the article and decided it would not be published.
