Kerry�s First Gaffe: �Kyrzakhstan�

On the eve of his first trip abroad, John Kerry invented the Central Asian country of �Kyrzakhstan.� He was attempting to praise U.S. diplomats� work in emerging democracies in the region, and said �they support democratic institutions in Kyrzakhstan and Georgia.� Unfortunately, the secretary of state seems to have conflated Kyrgyzstan, one of the U.S.�s�allies in the War on Terror,�with Kazakhstan, its northern neighbor.

    B. No. 2: Did you serve in the US Armed Services? In combat? Or are you a chicken hawk like George W. Bush and several members of his administration?

    C. Which is worse: (i) Mispronouncing an ally’s name, or (ii) going to war over non-existent weapons of mass destruction?
