An IDF officer was killed by an explosive drone fired by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Friday, the IDF announced on Motzei Shabbos.

He was identified as Captain Ma’oz Yisrael Recanati, H’YD, 24, from the yishuv of Itamar in the Shomron. He was a platoon commander in Battalion 12 of the Golani Brigade.

He is survived by his parents, six siblings, and his kallah. Their chasunah was only a month away.

He was the 20th IDF soldier to fall in Lebanon since the outbreak of Operation Roaring Lion and the seventh since the start of the “ceasefire.”

  1. I was shocked to hear that Captain Ma’oz Yisrael Recanati, H’YD future Choson of a soon to be Kallah was murdered by an exploding drone fired by Hezbollah. How awful for all of K’lal Yisroel, his Parents and six siblings. What chutzpah the Hezbollah have just before Shabbes, too. How these things are allowed to happen is beyond me. I pray for the beloved Mishpocha and beloved friends of this brave Israeli Defense Force’s soldier and even most especially, for the soul of the departed to rise to great heights in Shamayim. May the family know no more pain like this one. Omein.

  2. Notice the high number of religious soldiers that are killed while the leftist secular army elite are feasting on pork sandwiches in Tel Aviv. They make soldiers fight with their hands tied behind their backs because they care more about Arab civilians getting killed then their own soldiers especially religious soldiers. They could easily level all areas of Lebanon and Gaza from the air wherever terrorist are hanging out. But they won’t as they would rather have Chareidi and religious soldiers get killed.
