An extraordinary collaboration between the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Lakewood Police Department and the Orthodox Jewish Community of Lakewood, New Jersey took place at Lake Terrace in Lakewood, New Jersey on Tuesday, March 13, 2007.
The day long event entitled Bagels, Lox and Cops: Getting to Know the Orthodox Jewish Community provided an opportunity for representatives of the Orthodox Jewish Community to share cultural concerns with law enforcement personnel from throughout Ocean County. Russia: Jewish Kevarim desecrated

Unidentified vandals smashed over 20 Kevarim in a Jewish cemetery in Voronezh, Russia. Local prosecutors have tied the case together with an earlier incident in the same cemetery. That incident took place earlier this year when vandals painted swastikas on Kevarim.

Rocks thrown at car of Yerushalayim Deputy Mayor

Several men from the Meah Shearim neighborhood threw rocks at the car belonging to Deputy Mayor Yehoshua Pollak. No injuries were reported, but his vehicle sustained damages. (It’s interesting to note, that less than a month ago YW reported [HERE] of an incident where Mayor Uri Lupolianski was assaulted while attending the Bris of a son of Yehoshua Pollak.)
