An IDF Soldier Provides An Elderly Woman At A Bus Stop With Shade

The following photo and posting was taken from the Facebook page of Bayit Yehudi party leader Naftali Bennet.

Below is a translation of the Hebrew posting, which provides an explanation of the photo.

Going down the Binyamina train station and this is the picture before me. You go to the station and wait for the next bus to come and see another woman, begin photographing and begin to become curious as to why. “Why did you take pictures? What is it?”

Briefly stated, the soldier noticed that the elderly woman had a newspaper to get some shade but she was growing tired, so he decided to take the paper to stand up and help her, even though he too is hot and was running late getting back to his base. He decided to wait with her until her bus comes to assist her and only then returning to his schedule.

I was left speechless and almost in tears. I don’t know who you are, but it is certain you are a wonderful person and we pray there are many like you. Thank you for the moment and elevating my Sunday. This is our army. These are out soldiers. Galit Achituv

  1. Oy vey. The soldier is probably showing the lady a pritzusdike picture and harassing her. Just goes to show that the shmad army turns you into a behaima rasha.

  2. In Eretz Yisroel you may be surprised to find that many of the secular people possess find midot; and conversely sometime the ultra Orthodox are lacking….

  3. Moilech, you are disgusting. Our soldiers, dati, Chareidi or chiloni, are exceptional human beings. You don’t come anywhere near them, you aren’t fit to lick their boots that are dusty from going into areas that you would never venture.

My Chassidishe friend has 3 sons serving right now. It’s because of their meseiros nefesh that I can drive into “East Jerusalem/settlements” or go to Kever Yosef in safety. You wouldn’t know mesiros nefesh if it jumped up and bit you.

Sefardi guy – he isn’t joking. But when his car is stoned, you know who he’ll be praying turns up.
