Warfare Doesn’t Keep Olim Chadashim Away

elalSpeaking to the media on Sunday, 29 Tammuz, day 20 of Operation Protective Edge, Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofia Landver explained that since the beginning of the counter-terrorism offensive in Gaza, over 2,000 new immigrants have arrived in Israel.

Landver explained the immigrants have arrived from the US, France, the Ukraine, Russia and EU nations. She explained that she is confident that the trend will continue as the arriving new residents are determined to make Israel their home and they are undeterred by the warfare taking place. She added that she hopes the term “lone soldier” will be removed from the national lexicon, explaining that between her ministry, the IDF and other agencies, “no soldier is alone and we see to it that all their needs are met”.

  1. The war is probably what is bringing them here. Anti-Semitism is sharply rising throughout the world that there is no where else for them. The job of Zionism – to make the entire world uninhabitable for us so that the only option is their state.
