B’chasdei Hashem, doctors at Shaare Zedek Hospital report that Rabbi Yehuda Glick’s condition continues to improve. He has B”H communicated with family members, albeit in a limited fashion with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Hospital officials confirm this, that he does recognize family members and is cognizant of their presence and is interacting with them. They report this is a most welcome positive sign as he is continuing to improve.

Doctors add that it is a process to wean him from the mechanical respirator as he is slowly brought out of his medically induced coma.

Glick was shot four times by a would-be Arab terrorist at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Yerushalayim. Rabbi Glick was in critical condition when he arrived in the trauma unit of the hospital.

The terrorist, who was employed as a chef in the center, told Glick “Yehuda, I am sorry but I have to do this” as he fired at him from point-blank range. The terrorist was killed by police gunfire the following morning as he resisted arrest.
