HaRav Tzion Boaron Shlita, a dayan serving on the Chief Rabbinate Supreme Court, warns those who dare to speak out against HaGaon HaRav Meir Mazuz Shlita.
“I warn those who speak against Rabbi Mazuz” stating they will not achieve anything good personally by acting in this fashion. Rav Mazuz is the rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Kisei Rachamim and the spiritual advisor of Eli Yishai’s Yachad party.
Rav Mazuz has come out now, during the election period, warning the tzibur we must be especially careful regarding loshon hora and rechilus and focus on how we act ben adom l’chavero. Rav Boaron echoed his words and warned those who feel they have a right to speak out against this Torah giant to be wary of such actions.

It is perfectly ok to express political disagreement on policy matters with Rav Mazuz. its not ok to engage in the type of inappropriate language or hyperbole against him or ANY rav for that matter. Sadly, it is sometimes the rabbonim themselves who exercise poor judgment in their comments about other rabbonim….this seems to be an especially common occurrence in the Sephardic tzibur going back to a recent gadol who led Shas for many years.
