Chabad Planning Massive Tefillin Campaign for Election Day

rebbeWhile the nation prepares for elections for 20th Knesset, Tzieri Chabad in Eretz Yisrael is planning in a different sense, with a major nationwide tefillin campaign. “Chabad is going to the polls” the advertisements read, but they don’t mention a political party, but instead send a message to shluchim and chassidim nationwide, to use the voting day to put tefillin on men heading to election polls to vote. Tzieri Chabad hopes to set up tefilin booths outside many voting stations around the country in the hope of getting thousands to fulfill the mitzvah on voting day.

Organizers explain this is wonderful opportunity to increase ahavas yisrael and bring a Torah message to so many who otherwise lack a religious component in their lives.

  1. Written to heaven.

But hopefully not just a sample of the right to put on tefillin.

We need a good decision to also take Torah to higher heights.
