Rav Moshe Yosef Comes Out in Support of Shas

myoFollowing a period during which he distanced himself from Shas, Rabbi Moshe Yosef Shlita has signed a letter of support for the party a week ahead of elections. The letter signed on Tuesday night the eve of 20 Adar was written by Rabbi David Yosef, who is a member of Shas’ Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael.

According to reports, there are tensions among some of the siblings of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L pertaining to the gadol hador’s will. A case is pending in the Jerusalem Family Court as some of the late gadol’s children are contesting the fact most of the rav’s worldly possessions were willed to Rav Moshe and his wife, Rebitzen Yehudit.

  1. I’m sorry if this sounds amateur. But isn’t it assur to work things out in secular court? Aren’t we taught that we are required to go to bet din for something like this? We’re talking about the sons of maran here! I’m so confused!

  2. How could these kids of Rav Ovadia expect us to listen to the Rav when they themselves dont follow his carefully worded will that was formally filed w/ his attorney? This smacks of hypocricy
