Knesset to Meet in Special Session in Light of Ongoing Attacks And Acts Of Terror

parThe Yesh Atid opposition party received the required number of signatures to compel a special session this Monday, 8 Tishrei, to address what Yesh Atid officials are calling the ongoing acts of terrorism and the loss of the sense of personal security for citizens of Israel.

Yesh Atid officials are concerned over recent events in Yerushalayim, demanding the Knesset convene in special session during the Tishrei recess. Yesh Atid officials explain that rock-throwing and firebomb attacks have become daily occurrences and they are demanding that whatever must be done has to be done to stop it immediately. Joining Yesh Atid’s call for a special session are the Zionist Camp, Meretz and United Arab List opposition parties, providing more than the required 25 signatures.

The special session will also address the strike in the Christian sector public schools as that community continues to demand NIS 900 million in funding.
