US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday morning that “Israel and Iran must immediately stop shooting.”

“Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate CEASEFIRE!” he added. “Final negotiations on ‘Peace’ are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a ‘Final Deal’ is reached. Things should move quickly.”

The IDF said early Monday afternoon that Iran has fired 24 missiles at Israel since Sunday night. The US attacked an Iranian petrochemical complex as well as strategic air‑defense systems that Iran restored after Operation Roaring Lion.

Earlier on Monday, the IDF said that all strikes on Iran were carried out by the IDF but coordinated with CENTCOM and that US forces played a part in the interception of some of the missiles fired at Israel.

The regional escalation has expanded beyond Iran and Israel. The Houthis fired two missiles at Israel early Monday morning and announced that they are renewing the naval blockade on Israel.

Senior IDF officials are preparing for several days of war and possibly longer.
