Salmonella Alert For Shamir Salads

2As the Ministry of Health is probing the salmonella infestation in Telma cereals, health officials announce salmonella was found in Shamir Company salads. Unlike the Telma incident, Shamir is exhibiting transparency and is working hard to inform the public as well as conducting a recall of infected batches.

Shamir explains the recall impacts salads that have tehina in them – adding the Techina HaNasich (“????? ?????”) Company, which supplies Shamir, informed Shamir salmonella was found in its product. That said, lab tests on Shamir salads have not revealed the presence of salmonella but Shamir is not taking chances and recalling items it fears may have a trace of salmonella.

The recall includes the following:

· All humos marked under the label Shufersal, Yesh, Asli, HaMutag (Rami Levi), Delicatessen, Salatei HaBayit, Yacnanuf, Picnic between the dates September 1, 2016 to September 18, 2016.
