Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is calling for an Islamic takeover of Jerusalem, blaming Israel’s defiance of American demands for the breakdown of planned resumed negotiations between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority).
Speaking on state radio, the senior Iranian official accuses Israel of trampling Christian and Islamic holy sites, citing the recent re-dedication of the Churva shul as an example, warning steps must be taken to prevent Israel from ousting other religions from the capital. He calls on the international community to act, especially the ArabLeague.
