A tragedy has struck Betar Illit R”L. A 3-year-old boy was the victim of a fatal drowning incident as the child was pronounced dead in a northern hospital on Sunday morning, 2 Nissan.

The Betar Illit family traveled for a short vacation last week to the Upper Galil with another family, neighbors. On Shabbos afternoon, they noticed the 3-year-old had disappeared and they began looking for him. At approximately 5:00PM the child was found in a private pool in cardiac arrest. MDA responded and CPR was implemented as was advanced life support.

On Sunday morning, officials in the Galil Medical Center reported that despite all life-saving efforts, they were compelled to pronounce the child dead.
