Opposition leader MK Binyamin Netanyahu had harsh remarks for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in light of recent and growing media reports that the prime minister is willing to cede the entire Golan Heights.
Netanyahu state he is giving everything away even before peace talks are launched.
Ceding the Golan to Syria he stated would bring Iran closer to Israel, a move that is contrary to regional peace efforts, the opposition leader added during a Maimouna festival visit to Nesher on Sunday.
The opposition leader was referring to weekend third-party mediation efforts by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who met with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.
