Tuesday AM News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


ywnisrael.israel· A 26-year-old terrorist released in the Shalit deal was apprehended with a knife at the Kalandia Checkpoint. He admitted he was planning a stabbing attack. Prior to release in Shalit deal he was imprisoned for shooting into a yishuv.

· PA media reports gunfire was directed at the Ramallah home of senior official Jibril Rajoub.

· A mother and her infant daughter were struck by a car on Pierre Koenig Street in the capital. They were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with non-serious injuries.

· US Secretary of State John Kerry appoints Daniel Rubinstein as his special envoy to Syria.

· A 35-year-old construction worker on a building project in Yishuv Tapuach went into traumatic cardiac arrest as a result of electrocution. The patient was pronounced dead following unsuccessful resuscitation efforts.
