Meeting with southern area residents, Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Major-General Dan Harel explained �it will be a long haul� and residents must �brace themselves for this eventuality�.

The senior commander explained that this will not be a �boom and we are done� operation, explaining the ongoing offensive is intended to dismantle and destroy Hamas� infrastructure. He stressed there is a long road ahead, but when the smoke clears, there will be a new reality in Gaza.

Harel stated the IDF is not just targeting rocket launchers and Hamas, but the regime�s infrastructure. He told residents when the mission is over, there will not be a single Hamas structure remaining.
